We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. (1) Consent: If you permit (i.e., consent) the use of your personal information for specific purposes, we may process your information. You may withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the legality of processing activities conducted based on consent prior to the withdrawal. For more information, see Withdrawing Your Consent.

(2) Legitimate Interests: We may process your information when we believe it is reasonably necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests, and such interests do not override your interests, fundamental rights and freedoms. For example, we may process your personal information for the following purposes:
  • Send you information about special offers and discounts on our products and services;
  • Analyze service usage to improve services, attract and retain users;
  • Support our marketing activities;
  • Diagnose problems and/or prevent fraudulent activities;

We may process your information when we believe it is necessary to protect the vital interests such as the life, health and property safety of you or a third party, for example, in situations involving potential threats to anyone's safety.

(6) Public Information: We may process your personally information that you have voluntarily disclosed or otherwise legally disclosed within a reasonable scope to respond to your inquiries or provide services.

Please note: In accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, processing your personal information under circumstances 3 to 6 above does not require your consent.

Vendors, Consultants and Other Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors or agents (hereinafter referred to as "third parties") who provide services for us or on our behalf and need access to such information to complete their work. We have entered into contracts with third parties requiring them to strictly comply with IQAir's data privacy protection measures and requirements, process data strictly in accordance with the scope of relevant user authorization, and supervise their data processing activities to help protect your personal information. We will only entrust them to process your information for the legitimate, proper, necessary and clear purposes stated in this Policy, authorize third parties to access only the information necessary to perform their duties, and retain such data for the period specified in our instructions to ensure the security of your privacy. Personal information collected and generated by us during operations within the People's Republic of China will be stored within China.

Unless required or permitted by law to retain it for a longer period (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements), we will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not require us to retain your personal information for longer than the period during which you maintain an account with us or the period permitted by law.

When we no longer have a continuing legitimate business need to process your personal information and are not required by law to retain it, we will delete or anonymize such information. If we are unable to do so (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

9. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 14 years of age.

We do not intentionally solicit data from or market to children under the age of 14. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. 11. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
